COURSE CURRICULUM
This CME is an attempt at addressing your learning needs pertaining to the prevention of cardiac arrest as well as the prevention of futile CPR attempts. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and sudden cardiac death (SCD) signify sudden cessation of cardiac activity with hemodynamic collapse, frequently caused by sustained ventricular tachycardia/ventricular fibrillation. This occurs most often in patients with structural heart disease that may not have been previously diagnosed, particularly coronary heart disease (CHD).
