Night owls at an increased risk of Type 2 Diabetes


Sleeping patterns, behaviors, and characteristics all vary from person to person based on age, activity level and sleeping conditions. But did you know that this difference in the circadian rhythm, dubbed as chronotype has a significant impact on the development of type 2 diabetes. In this week's session we will discuss how night owls are at an increased risk of type 2 diabetes along with several other important updates, such as how ultra-lipid lispro improves postprandial glucose in type 2 diabetes, ADA-EASD consensus on the importance of language in diabetes communication between patients and healthcare professionals, and advanced hybrid closed-loop system in adolescents and adults with type 1 diabetes.
