How to Choose a Stent?

Dr. Rakesh Yadav, Sub-Dean & Additional Professor, Cardiology, AIIMS, New Delhi, will discuss choosing the stent and the precautions are taken while choosing it. He says that there should be three criteria while choosing the stent. First is the patients characteristics, lesions characteristics and third is the cost-effectiveness. He will further discuss in which group of patients the stent is to be chosen. It is also decided whether the patient is symptomatic or not. He will also talk about bare metal stents and drug-eluting stents. He will also talk about different types of stents and their limitations.
