Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF) is called send by body's immunological reaction to a throat infection brought on by the group A Streptococcus bacteria, also known as Streptococcus pyogenes. Although the pathophysiology of the disease is unclear, the autoimmune reaction to infection involves several organ systems in the body.
