Allergic Rhinitis and the Associated Quality of Life in Patients

Overview

Allergic rhinitis causes global sickness and disability. Nasal and nonnasal symptoms are caused by inflammation in the upper respiratory tract, but many may feel fatigue, mood changes, sadness, anxiety, and work/school performance and cognitive impairments. Health-related quality of life assesses patients' impairments and disease perceptions. The patient's disease burden motivates them to seek medical help or therapy.
