Overview

Prof Dr. Lekha Adik Pathak, Head, Dept. of Cardiology, Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, will discuss the management of heart attack in rural setting in this video. She says that early prevention can avoid heart diseases. There are lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension, stress, etc. with the harmful risk factors in daily life such as smoking, sedentary lifestyle and family history. In case of emergency, the cardiac ambulance should be well-quipped with drugs, defibrillators and temporary pacemaker. A well trained doctor can thrombolysed the patient in the ambulance only. She will further talk about the management of the heart disease.
