Overview

Osteoporosis is dubbed a "silent disease" because people may not notice any changes until a bone breaks. All the while, though, the bones will be losing strength for many years. Although osteoporosis can strike at any age, it is most common among older people, especially older women. Several studies have shown that Asian women are more likely to have osteoporosis.
