Dr. Satyavan sharma, Professor & Head, Dept. of Cardiology, Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences will update on cardiac intervention in this video. He will discuss about coronary intervention and non-coronary intervention. Patients with acute coronary syndromes benefit most from coronary interventions. Intervention should be done in stable coronary artery disease patients when they no longer respond to medical treatment. If a patient is asymptomatic and can on his daily routine works then intervention is not necessary. He will further say that in acute myocardial infarct, the intervention should be kept simple and safe.
