This webcast is based on the festival of Rakshabandhan and Vector borne diseases like Dengue and Chikunguniya in parts of India as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore. This video explains what are Vector born diseases control program and what are the specific role of municipal corporations, state government and central government in these programs, ways of making these disease notifiable and preventing them, ways of identifying them and difference between rheumatoid arthritis and chikunguniya and how fever, joint pain and rash are related to chikunguniya. This video also gives us the understanding of the festival of Rakshabandhan, meaning of time period uttarayan and dakshinayan and how the festivals are related to these periods and what are the different types of gifts that can be given on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
